Construction is underway at Avenir – a new Landstar Development multi-use, master plan community that will have 3,725 homes and 250 townhomes with over two million sf of office space including medical offices, retail spaces, a 300-room hotel, a school, and multiple parks on over 4,200 acres of land.
WGI’s Utilities Engineering team is providing FPL with the underground electric infrastructure, backbone design, and utility coordination for the entire master development.
Currently under construction is phase one of the project, which will include the construction of Avenir Road, the main roadway and utility infrastructure corridor for the development.
Also under construction in phase one are three single-family residential parcels, with homes being built by Toll Brothers and Kenco Communities. The electric design phase for these parcels are complete with models that are expected to open in the first quarter of 2020.
Viking Utilities is presently installing the conduit for the utilities along Avenir Road and will soon start conduit installation in the residential parcels.
Phase two, which is anticipated to start construction in early 2020, will extend Coconut Blvd from Northlake Blvd, north into the development and will consist of three new residential parcels. The new amenity/clubhouse building will also start construction during phase two.
