The vibrant South Congress (SoCo) neighborhood in Austin, Texas is known as a must-visit shopping, dining, and live music destination for visitors and locals alike. WGI has provided engineering and consulting services for several projects in the neighborhood, and two of SoCo's newest projects are sure to contribute to the neighborhood's eclectic vibe.

Music Lane
The Music Lane mixed-use project consists of nearly 300,000 sf of office, retail, restaurant, and outdoor amenity space across four buildings. The project also includes a 496-space subterranean parking garage.
The project was designed by Lake | Flato Architects, and landscape architecture was provided by dwg. WGI provided civil engineering, traffic engineering, site development permitting, and construction phase services for the project.
Hotel Magdalena
Steps away from Music Lane and South Congress Avenue is the Hotel Magdalena, a beautiful and sustainably-designed boutique hotel. Also designed by Lake | Flato Architects, this 89-room hotel features five buildings surrounding large Live Oak heritage trees, swimming pool, and outdoor gathering spaces. Underground cisterns will collect all rainwater on site and will be used to irrigate the lush landscaping.
