How can cities improve wayfinding, communication, and navigation in pedestrian-oriented urban downtown areas? IKE Smart City has a solution, and WGI is helping to enable greater geographic and economic mobility to residents in Tampa and Miami, Florida.
The Interactive Kiosk Experience, also known as "IKE", utilizes innovative wayfinding and communication technology to encourage exploration and discovery throughout the areas in which they are installed.
The kiosks are fully digital and feature interactive touch screens that engage users, assist with navigating and mapping out destinations, and even hosts its own WiFi hotspot.
WGI was selected to provide professional surveying, civil engineering, and electrical engineering services for dozens of kiosk locations in Tampa and Miami, Florida. In addition, WGI is aiding in the preparation of construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction phase services.

The City of Miami recently held their IKE Launch Event ribbon-cutting ceremony in Wynwood, Miami with WGI associates in attendance.
The kiosks offer many applications that will better serve the needs of cities, residents, and visitors with interactive maps, playing multiplayer video games, selfie photos, ordering an Uber, checking local restaurants and reviews, locating nearby parks, shops, activities, events, promote local projects and artists, and much more!
