In this first installment of our new Career Conversations video series, we follow Esteban Barboza, Graduate Engineer, and Megan Amitrano, Senior Graduate Engineer, around the office (and out in the field) as they provide first-hand, on the job advice for aspiring engineers. Megan and Esteban are both based in our San Antonio, TX office and are part of our Civil Engineering division.
In the video, Megan and Esteban talk about their experiences in college while looking for internships and career opportunities. They tell us how they became civil engineers, take us through their day-to-day tasks, and show us what it's really like to be a civil engineer. They even take us on a site visit! (There may or may not be a few office hijinks along the way as well ?.)

Megan is a civil/site planning and design specialist with 6 years of experience in land entitlements, planning, and permitting.
Esteban has extensive experience in design, platting, and permitting. He has worked on a diverse number of projects ranging from public works rehabilitation to large mixed-use projects and single-family residential projects.
